I originally started this blogging malarkey as a sort of replacement diary, a vent of virtual diarrhea such as “Today was a Tuesday”, “I like the sun” and “Why does everyone hate me?”…I then dismissed that thought as soon as it formed because, lets be honest here, it was a pretty stupid idea.
Moving on from that thought, I’ve now come up with a slightly better idea…possibly.
I’ve found recently that each day at sixth form has a theme, and intentional or not, they’re sometimes quite interesting.
My theme for this blog is Friendship. A slight cliche I know, but it’s been recurring in the last week.
Friends are the most important thing you can ever come across, to have someone you can rely on for absolutely anything. However, people do come and go so it can be difficult to keep hold of them. It’s important to remember that no matter what you go through, there will always be someone there for you, whether you expect them to our not. Those are the keepers, in my opinion :)
Friends are also brilliant at bringing you back down to earth, this quote emphasises this:
“Friendship is being there when someone’s feeling low and not being afraid to kick them”
Randy K. Milholland (Something Positive)
Friends are like world records…(bear with me)…they require an awful lot of effort and heart ache to achieve, once achieved it’s the best feeling in the world. It then takes even more work to keep that record. Sometimes, you don’t keep it and someone else wins that record, but that doesn’t stop you, you go back to the beginning and go through the same work and effort. In the end, some records come and go but those Lifetime Best’s those are the records you keep for the long run.
Did that make sense? :)
